Regulation of Airbnb rentals in the 17th district in 2026

The 17th arrondissement is subject to the regulatory requirements applicable to the whole of Paris.
  • 90-day maximum: since January 2025, the main residence can only be rented out as a furnished tourist accommodation for 90 days per calendar year. Airbnb automatically blocks bookings beyond this threshold. The offence is punishable by a fine of up to €15,000.
  • Mandatory declaration: since May 20, 2026, all furnished tourist accommodation must be declared via Declaloc and assigned a 13-digit number, which is displayed on each advert. Failure to do so will result in a €1,500 fine.
  • Minimum EPD: G-rated properties will no longer be eligible for tourist rentals as of 2025. The threshold will be raised to F in 2028, then to E in 2034.
  • Co-ownership: the Le Meur law authorizes co-ownerships to prohibit seasonal rentals by a two-thirds vote. We check this point before each new mandate.
